BIG THANKS to Marlene, Mary and Elaine for coordinating our day in Historic Lewes, Delaware. The weather was picture perfect and the ferry ride was delightful.
Can you guess who this officer is? Note the red feather she is wearing!
OK – I’ll give you a hint!
We really enjoyed the ferry trip over to Lewes.
Our first order of business when we arrived by shuttle bus was to have lunch. So, the twelve of us walked a short block to the famous waterfront restaurant, Gilligan’s. We were told that they had the best crabcakes in the state, and they were right.
And, the sweet potato waffles and chicken got rave reviews as well.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and looked forward to shopping in this quaint little town.
