Although the weather forecast was for showers, this group of dedicated ladies dressed up in their purple and red and defied the skies once again. As we approached Cape May, we could begin to see the skies turning blue just for us! What appeared to be a grey start, turned out to be a absolutely beautiful day. Thirteen of us wandered through the shops on Washington Mall before meeting for lunch at the Mad Batter. The Mad Batter is a little gem of a restaurant on Jackson Street that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. http://www.madbatter.com We were treated like royalty (of course) and enjoyed a very nice lunch before we took to the streets to do a little more shopping! 
When we couldn’t shop any more, some of us headed North but not without another stop at the Antiques, Etc. shop on Dune Drive in Avalon.
