Happy Hatters enjoy Careme’s–the culinary college–April 18, 2013

Thanks go out to Carol, Margie and Sue for coordinating a fantastic dinner at Careme’s Gourmet Restaurant at the Academy of Culinary Arts of Atlantic Cape Community College.

A little bit about Careme’s……The restaurant is named after the first “celebrity chef” in culinary history, Marie-Antoine Careme.  Careme’s command of culinary art was so famous in the early 19th century that he became known as “the chef of kings and the king of chefs.”

This is where the dedicated culinary students practice their skills that may some day make them famous.  The lunch and dinner menu changes every day.   High Quality food preparation, attentive service, and affordable prices are some of the reasons people return over and over again.   Careme’s doesn’t have a liquor license, but you are invited to BYOB.

Nine Happy Hatters, along with some of the ladies lucky husbands, enjoyed a wonderful meal.  Starting out with a cup of chicken corn chowder which everyone raved about ---then off to the salad bar (no complaints there Smile)---and then came the main course – a boneless blackened pork chop sitting on a roasted slice of sweet potato, chicken with a raspberry sauce surrounded by vegetables and a stuffed flank steak with tempura vegetables.   YUM

To hell with Weight Watchers! Smile
